Eric Plemmons, 26, was arrested and accused of possessing hundreds of images that showed more than 100 files of child sexual abuse material, according to recently obtained court documents.

Plemmons was arrested by the U.S. Marshal Service in the 4800 block of 66th Street on April 8.

Court records obtained by EverythingLubbock.com stated authorities started investigating Plemmons due to a CyberTip. When investigators first spoke with Plemmons, he denied any knowledge of internet crimes related to children. Court records said when confronted with the Kik Messaging accounts, Plemmons confirmed they were his.

“Plemmons admitted to sending and receiving child sexual abuse material using the internet,” court documents stated. Court records said Plemmons was accused of possessing more than 100 files but less than 500,

Plemmons was charged with two counts of Possession with Intent to Promote Child Pornography and one count of Possession of Child Pornography. As of Tuesday, he remained at the Lubbock County Detention Center on a combined $200,000.
